While out to dinner the other night, my wife and I were waiting for a table. While we waited, I watched as a woman in her late 30s or early 40s texting a message to some goober in the same foggy world as hers. I turned to my wife and said: "Some day, with technology growing as fast as it is, people will simply be able to speak into that device and the person on the other end will hear you speaking. There will no longer be necessary to type in all those words and send the message and wait for a reply" Of course I was being sarcastic, but I can't help to be amazed at people who will go to that much trouble to use the latest and greatest toy regardless of how inconvenient it is to use. They may as well use little pictures of smoke signals. Can you imagine a crow first learning to fly and still flying around the mountain. Maybe they don't know it's also a phone. Like the lumberjack who buys his first chainsaw and brings it back saying it can't cut worth a damn. The salesman picks it up and says let's see if we can find the problem. The salesman grabs the pull rope and starts the chainsaw and the lumberjack jumps back and screams: what the hell is all that noise? If I showed that woman that it was also a phone, would she say "Well, I'll be damned" I am not surprised that kids do these things; after all they are kids and they won't make sense till they learn to make a dollar. I guess I am not really bothered by these folks, but merely puzzled. I watch, look, think and sometimes scratch my head, but find them kind of entertaining. I want to see at least one of everything before I go and people are no exception. But just when you think you have seen it all, there comes another one. Unfortunately, most of what I see tends to make me want to cry rather than laugh.

Throw them in a pot, stir them up and you have idiot soup. Willie, when asked if he had his own opinion of the bombing of the Twin Towers, stated that he did and went on to say that he watched an imploding of a building in Vegas and there were some similarities. "One of the buildings fell and nothing even hit it" Now there is one for the books! The world watched the first building smoking from the first plane as the second plane slammed into the second tower and Willie missed it. Willie needs to roll smaller joints or only watch the news in the morning before that first joint. The other chunk of ignorance that makes up our idiot soup is Michael Moore. He stated that he was for John Edwards because he went after the big corporations. Moore is a big corporation in his own right and is a multi millioniare who does not seem to be as free with his money as he is with ours, but that is typical for a democrat. The thing that adds to the long list of things that prove this guy is an ignoramus is his proud praise of his democrat party because they now receive the big money from the big corporations rather than those evil republicans. And that proves what? To me it proves he is the typical leftist who leans so far to the left he only gets tanned on one of his two faces. One would think that his hatred of the big corporations would cause him to have second thoughts about his support for the dems, because they are now receiving the big money from those evil corporations. For those of you that like your idiot soup strong, try some Rosie ODumbass or maybe a little John Cougar Mellenhead. But, take in easy on the ODumbass and Mellenhead; it will over power your idiot soup and you will not be able to enjoy the ignorant flavor of Nelson and Moore. Unfortunately, the number of seasonings that can add to the flavor of a good batch of idiot soup is high and seemingly increasing. If you like your idiot soup a little rich, try some Ted Turner and some Warren Buffet. If you like soul food try the new imitation soul seasoning Barack Obama. If you are not worried about your diet and fat doesn't bother you, try some Ted Kennedy. If you enjoy a good garnish for your food, try some Clinton. It is the perfect garnish because it will just lie there and look good better than anything. In fact, if you want something that lies great, pick some Clinton. It will lie on a plate, it will lie on the table, it will lie when you want it will lie when it's able, it will lie in the air, it will lie on the ground, it will lie at your side and every time you turn around. (A little Doctor Seuss for the child in me) Unfortunately this is not funny; America is being taken over by idiot soup ingredients. They know that few will do any research and never wonder about what they hear. The global warming scam is a fine example. They offer little proof, if any at all, that things such as global warming are factual. I have been able to rebut every claim that has been made that man has caused global warming and the scam continues. I welcome the argument and all I get are insults. Not that I mind the insults; it means I have just won the debate. I want the debate, I want the argument and I want the proof! Bring it on people. Educate me, unless you fear an education. Tell me how the rich don't pay or people don't get heath care or that people can't get jobs or that people can't get an education or that prosperity is not available to everyone. Tell me!

The latest scam perpetrated buy the dems is buying votes with our money. Hillary, Edwards and Obama call the scheme a "stimulus Package" What they are doing is traveling around the country promising our money to others with the hope of getting them off their lazy butts and vote for the person passing out the stolen money. These people are rich beyond my wildest dreams and they can afford to buy votes with their own money. One of the reasons I cannot be a Democrat is that I will not wander around trying to find someone who believes they deserve my hard earned money more than me and I will not vote for anyone who wants to do it for me. There was a time when my TV remote was nicknamed The Clinton Eradication Control Module. Today I have had it upgraded. It will now remove all democrats from my TV with a touch of a button. No more "vote for me and I will give you somebody's hard earned money" or "vote for me and I will take somebody's hard earned money" It seems that all I hear from these people is this country sucks, Republicans suck, Bush sucks, big business sucks and the rich suck. I love this country, I am a Republican, I like Bush, big business has provided me with jobs all these years and provided me with the opportunity to own a business. I can't hate the rich; I envy the rich and I would like to be rich some day. I watched the Republican debate the other night and Fred Thompson smoked the competition. All talked about the country and what it is, what it can be and what they believe they can do to make it better. Not one of them promised others your hard earned money. The Democrats, on the other hand, do nothing but talk about how terrible things are, how terrible it will be and not one thing that they will do to make it better except pass out your money to those they believe are more deserving. The substance of the dems platform, as reported by the media is Hillary is not black, Obama is not a woman and Edwards is neither one. Those are the choices for those voting for a Democrat. That sure makes it easy! You can go to the poll and not even have to think about anything of any substance. If you are black, vote for Obama. If you are a feminist, vote for Hillary. If you are an idiot, vote for Edwards. I guess I could have taken the easy road and become a Democrat. After the media has told you which candidate sucks the least, you go to the poll and try and find that name on the ballot. If I could, I would change the ballot to have more than one Hillary. List Sir Edmond Hillary, Hillary Banks and Hilarity Clinton. My guess is that the votes would be evenly divided among those listed. And to be fair, we could list Osama, Obama and Yomama and split that vote. Of course we do not want to leave out Edwards. List John Edwards, Edward's Johnson and King Edwards. Their will be a few diehard Democrats that will figure it out, but not many. Only those absolutely devoted to making this country a socialist one will be informed enough to see the scam. Most will rely on the few blurbs of news they get between episodes American Idol and Survivor. After the Floridians proved that poking a hole in a ballot is too tough for your average Democrat, I believe this would be a good way to keep the ignorant from casting a vote or the greedy from voting my money into their pockets. Better yet, make them write down the full name of the person they want to vote for and if they get it wrong, their vote will be voided. This may not save the country from those willing vote away my money, but at least they have to think before they vote.

Today I hear that George Mitchel, the former senator and well accomplished liar in his own right, has finished a report on the use of performance enhancing drugs in baseball. George Mitchel is not the focus of this blog but does deserve an honorable mention when discussing dishonorable people, so I'll start with him. George Mitchel, the former senate majority leader during Bush#1 and Clinton was instrumental in getting Bush #1 to go against his pledge "No new taxes" Old George and his cronies cut a deal that would lower spending by one dollar for every dollar in tax increases. Not only did that not happen, they used Bush's flip flop against him when he ran against Clinton. Clinton new this as well, but as another proud and well accomplished liar, he only wished it was his scam and not Mitchel's. I can only guess that those who chose Mitchel believed him to be the right man to find a dishonest, cheating' low life who would do anything for power and recognition, because Mitchel is a dishonest, cheating lowlife who would do anything for power and recognition. If that is true then George Mitchel was a good choice. But, I digress! The purpose of this blog is to point out a few things that seem to be missing from the discussion. I am not a big sports fanatic, but do enjoy some sports. I know that what people want to see is the best running, jumping, throwing, swinging and all around athletic prowess ever before seen. Guess what folks, performance enhancing drugs do just that. That's why I do not understand all the complaining. What about the record books you ask. Well, what about them? If Babe Ruth never hit a home run, what would you be doing today? Reading this blog would be my guess. It is not like Jonas Salk was revealed to have lied about the polio vaccine and we all found out that it never helped rid the world of polio. Now, that would be something to cry about. But, to find out that your favorite entertainer is everything you want in a star and then some, because they used performance enhancing drugs should make you happy. In fact, I would expect you to ask for more, because that is why you watch. While this witch hunt goes on and all the pissing and moaning rises to a level that has folks shouting from the tree tops that we need a new law that protects record holders from those who would alter their normal self for a place in history, we need to look at all enhancements. How about Tommy Johns Surgery, surgery on a pitchers arm that allows them to throw faster. How is it different and why is it legal? How about eye surgery, as in LASIK, that allows a person to see better? Should we even allow them to wear glasses? If it is the record books that are tainted because of today's new and improved players, why not ban better shoes and gloves and balls? Why stop at steroids? Does anyone remember the game that allowed OJ Simpson to beat Jim Brown's rushing record? Buffalo lost that game, but OJ won. They wanted OJ to beat the record at home and winning the game did not matter. Does that taint the record books? But what really pisses me off is the United States Congress is wasting valuable time that we are paying them for to look into a non problem. While social security is going down the tubes and terrorists are hiding around the corner waiting for a good chance to kill us all, they are trying to fix America's favorite pastime and pastime is the right word for baseball, because a pastime is what you do when all the important things in your life have been taken care of. If pro baseball was to end today, how would your life be effected? Would you start doing something more productive or would you just scan the TV channels looking for more Survivor and American Idol. These things are nothing more than entertainment and not worth fretting over. If you think the world is coming to an end because baseball players use performance enhancing drugs, you need to get a life; you only get one and it is a shame to waste it.

It would shoot an anti-gun nut to make them right for once in their ignorant lives! When the latest shootings occurred, the same old crap spewed from the mouths of those who think that the gun is a mean crazy straight razor toting chunk of metal that will jump from the table and shoot the hell out of some poor innocent bystander. A study resurfaced that states that the USA has more gun related deaths than any of the other "rich" countries. The "rich" was thrown in as to eliminate many countries that have high gun related death rates, but suck economically. There is a statistical scam being perpetrated by those who choose to ignore some of the facts to boost their argument. It must be noted that gun crimes are actually quite small and even insignificant considering the population of the USA. I realize that it is not small if it is you that must deal with it, but statistically it is small. Believe it or not, the safest places to be are still a school, college, church and your home. The worst place to be is the urban areas of the largest cities. If you are between the ages of 17 and 24, living a big city, you stand a pretty good chance of having your ass shot. You are safer in any war torn country in the world than you are in the inner city. I would rather be here than anywhere, but statistically it is safer in Iraq than in Washington DC. If you count only the troops in Iraq and compare them to the same age group in any large US city, Iraq is safer. More people shoot themselves than are shot by others. More people are killed in violent crimes with weapons other than guns. But, being the laid back Americans that we are, we do tend to commit suicides with guns over any other method. My guess is that we see no need in going all the way to a bridge to jump off of, when we can just stay home, kick back and take the fast track. Why walk, when you can take the bus? It is much deeper than this, but the deception committed by the anti-gun crowd ticks me off. I have always believed that the number one rule of any debate is that the truth is all. If the truth hurts your argument, you have no argument! The anti-gun nuts and the global warming goobers are in the same boat: Their hearts have found a place to park, but their brain is still circling the parking lot. The truth is that the USA is 13th in gun related deaths. Only one third of all violent deaths are caused by guns. 39% of American households have guns. If we were to take Detroit, Chicago, New York City, New Orleans, Miami and Los Angeles off the table, this country would be the safest place to be outside of the White House. Another strange little wrinkle of a statistic is the fact that the afore mentioned cities have the strictest gun laws in the country. What is it that makes the problem so bad in these cities? Is it the poor, the minorities, the illegals or just plain old mean people hanging out in the same place? With the death toll highest among the ages of 17 to 24 and the perpetraters being of the same age group, it appears that it is mostly gang violence and drug related crimes. I for one do not care that these people kill themselves; the fewer the better. But I do care when it spills over onto the innocent. That is where gun ownership is crucial. The alternative is hiding in your home and hope they can't find you or place your bets on having the police close by when you are attacked. The Supreme Court has ruled that the police are not responsible for your protection and therefore cannot be held liable for crimes committed against you. This means that you are on your own and the safety of you and your family is in your hands. The police will drop by later and make a report and maybe catch the bad guys later. If you are dead, the bad guys get a pretty good head start and have no witness. What most anti-gun advocates have is the fear of a gun even in their own hands. They realize that the criminal will take the easiest prey and they are it. People with guns are dangerous to the criminal and the criminal wants to live long enough to spend their ill gotten gains and will prey on those without guns. The anti-gun crowd wants guns outlawed with the ignorant belief that the criminal will also be without a gun. I will make it so simple that even a democrat will understand: A criminal who is willing to risk the punishment for taking your stuff and willing to risk the punishment for killing you while trying is not concerned about the extra punishment they may receive for breaking a gun law. It has become a cliche and I almost hate to repeat it, but it will always be true: "If guns are outlawed, then only outlaws will have guns" In all fairness to the left I went to the gun control site to read the arguments and found the data manipulated to the point that it was virtually false. One chart was presented in such a way that it had the USA far and above any other nation on the chart when came to gun related deaths. Having just looked at data presented by the National Safety Commission and studies by Emery University, I thought how could that be. A closer look revealed the truth. The chart only used countries that had fewer violent deaths than the USA and it implied that the deaths were all gun related. These people are the ones I was referring to when I stated: "If the truth hurts your argument, you have no argument" What has happened to this study and the global warming studies is that those making the study started with a conclusion and set out to prove that conclusion while ignoring any facts that may hurt that conclusion. These statistically flawed studies have been around for years. They date back to my childhood, when one of my favorite treats was removed from the shelves by a study that claimed that Saccharin caused cancer. Presweetened Koolaid, that I ate right out of the pack, disappeared for the rest of my young life and I'm still pissed about that. Later came breast implants, allar and eggs. I have seen studies that attribute brain cancer to cell phones, Caffeine being an addictive drug, sugar in oranges is bad for you, red meat makes you angry and it goes on and on. I can't say that we should ignore all the studies, because it would be a heath risk to do so, but a little common sense can go a long way. What we must do is treat the studies with skepticism and only believe what you know to be true or can prove. If Micheal Moore claims his lard ass is a result of too many oranges, you may want to cut back on the oranges until you do a little research. After all, if his problems are a result of oranges, they may also cause Lying Ignoramus Syndrome which he has been afflicted with for years. How can we combat the crap spewed by the Chicken Littles of this country? Think, think and think! It doesn't hurt the brain as much as some believe and can be informative.
